Cavite Police Provincial Office Joins National Flag Day Commemoration at Alapan

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus, Cavite – The Cavite Police Provincial Office, led by PCOL ARIEL R RED, Provincial Director, graciously participated in the 128th anniversary of the Battle of the Alapan and National Flag Day, held at the Dambana ng Pambansang Watawat Heritage Park in Imus City, Cavite.


The historic event honored the first public unfurling of the Philippine flag in 1898 by revolutionary forces under Emilio Aguinaldo, meticulously crafted in Hong Kong by Marcela Mariño de Agoncillo.
The commemoration also marked the start of National Flag Days (May 28 – June 12), a period to celebrate the country’s courage, independence, and national pride.


The program was attended by key national and local leaders, including Cavite Governor Francisco Gabriel Remulla as Guest of Honor and Speaker, Senator JV Ejercito, DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla, and NHCP Chair Regalado Trota Jose Jr., who together inaugurated the Kalayaan 2026 celebrations. The event featured flag-raising rites, ceremonial speeches, and tributes to the revolutionary heroes who fought for Philippine independence, with participants from various sectors reaffirming their commitment to national pride and civic responsibility.
