DepEd chief lauds education programs in GenTri

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – Emphasizing the government’s bid to provide a conducive learning environment in schools, the Department of Education (DepEd) recently lauded the City Government of General Trias for its continuous support to students.

On June 8, Secretary Sonny Angara expressed his gratitude to Mayor Luis Ferrer IV and Cavite Sixth District Representative Antonio Ferrer for the education projects they launched in the city. Aside from additional school facilities, the city government provided 81,000 school supplies for public school students.

Angara also recognized the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for helping the city government build a new four-storey, 16-classroom school building at the Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. West National High School.

“Patunay ito na kapag nagkakaisa ang lokal na pamahlaan, mga paaralan, at mga katuwang na ahensya, mas marami tayong nagagawa para sa kinabukasan ng kabataan.”

Under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the education chief assured that it will continue to push for projects that will improve the learning environment for students as part of the government’s bid for a safe, sound, and quality education.
