The Cavite Career Caravan held on June 4, at Noveleta Town Plaza, was successfully organized through the joint efforts of the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) headed by Ms. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero and the local government of Noveleta led by Mayor Davey Reyes-Chua.
The event which aimed to bring job opportunities and government services closer to the residents of Noveleta was participated by 132 registered applicants. Out of these applicants, 22 were hired on the spot, giving them immediate employment opportunities.
A total of 33 companies joined the event, including 32 local employers and 1 overseas employer, offering a combined 6,792 job vacancies for job seekers.
Also present were eight national government agencies: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, BIR, PSA, DTI, OWWA, and TESDA. These agencies provided important services and information to help applicants with their employment requirements and career development.
Mayor Denver Reyes-Chua, together with the Noveleta Public Employment Service Office (PESO), encouraged residents to participate in the caravan. To further expand its reach, Mayor Denver Reyes-Chua also conducted a Facebook live session to attract more applicants. (OPIO)
